News Corp. watching Polish media market

Rupert Murdoch?s News Corp. has denied rumors it is interested in Poland?s largest private TV broadcaster, Polsat group or Warsaw-based "Życie Warszawy" daily newspaper, its European deputy CEO Ewan Mirylees said yesterday. News Corp. discussed possible purchase of the station, founded by Polish media magnate Zbigniew Solorz two years ago, but the matter is now ?closed?, Mirylees said.

News Corp. is watching the Polish market, but has no specific plans at the moment, Mirylees added.
