Penetrator trading strategy goes down the tubes

Penetrator, a troubled, independent brokerage house claims its trading strategy, back-tested for several years went 'counter-trend' with the market.

Retail investors buy more bonds

Recent weeks saw renewed interests in government bonds, which are traded on the WSE by retail investors. Bond trading volume in November rose four-fold to 2.9 million compared with the low in April.

Orlen may increase spending in Germany

PKN Orlen may increase capital expenditures in Germany in a bid to increase market share in northern part of the country from 7 to 10 percent. Wholly owned subsidiary Orlen Deutschland now owns 485 gas stations in Germany. It needs another 100 outlets to achieve Orlen's plans by 2007.
