WSE staff demands stake in company

WSE employees formed a trade union to demand a small stake in their company when the bourse is sold off by the Polish government. They want to buy up to 7.5 percent of the exchange at preferential terms.

Alchemia buys Batory steel plant

Alchemia said it has agreed to pay just over a million zloty for the 20 percent stake in Huta Batory Sp. z.o.o. steel plant it didn?t already own. Huta Batory is a holding company that took over failed Batory steel plant several months ago. Both firms are controlled by private businessman Roman Karkosik.

Software house Anica System won?t be going public for a few more months. Its IPO prospectus is no longer compatible with new stock market regulations.

CD Projekt may

go public

Computer game maker CD Projekt may go public, possibly as early as next year, sources said. CD Projekt, which operates in Poland and in the Czech Republic, said the decision depends on the success of ?Wiedzmin?, its first proprietary RPG game.
