Poland to retain veto power in TP EmiTel

Polish government plans to retain its veto power in TP EmiTel, the country?s main ratio telecommunications company that is wholly owned by France Telecom?s Telekomunikacja Polska. Some corporate lawyers and analysts criticized the idea of government control over a private company. ?If they wanna control it, they should just buy it?, one analyst said.

Orco may seek dual

listing in Poland

Luxembourg-registered real estate developer Orco Property Group may list its shares on the Warsaw Stock Exchange, deputy chief executive Ales Vobruba said yesterday. The company gave up on plans to buy Polish real estate company Pekao Development, Voruba said.

ZM Invest boosts

stake in Ropczyce

Management and employee-owned company ZM Invest added to its stake in publicly traded ZM Ropczyce buying two large blocks in late October and early December. It now owns 34.45 percent of Ropczyce and said it would ?at least retain? its existing stake in the company.
