| Kazincbarcika, September 19, 2006 Subject: Extraordinary announcement Owner’s correction of earlier notice BorsodChem Nyrt. hereby informs its investors and other participants of the capital markets that VCP Divestment AG, VCP Capital Partners Unternehmensberatungs AG and Collegia Privatstiftung submitted the following notification to the Company: "On 15 September 2006, the undersigned VCP Divestment AG (A-1010 Vienna, Tegetthoffstr. 7, Austria; Company Reg. No.: FN 199734b; formerly: VCP Industrie Beteiligungen AG) (VCPD), VCP Capital Partners Unternehmensberatungs AG (A-1010 Vienna, Tegetthoffstr. 7, Austria; Company Reg. No.: FN 201002t) (VCP) and Collegia Privatstiftung (A-2402 Maria Ellend, Hofstraβe 17., Austria) notified (Notification) the Honourable Board regarding the modification (Modification) of that certain option agreement entered into by VCPD and Kikkolux S.à.r.l. (282 route de Longwy, L-1940 Luxembourg; Company Reg. No.: B 109 992) (Kikkolux) dated 6 July 2006. Acting through our legal representative we hereby make the following correction to the Notification. According to the Notification, the Modification entered into force on 13 September 2006. When making the Notification in this respect VCPD relied on the fact that the executed Modification sent by Kikkolux to VCPD indicated 13 September 2006 as the date of execution. VCPD, however, was notified today by Kikkolux that in contrast with the date of execution indicated on the signed version of the Modification, the Modification was in fact executed on 15 September 2006. In accordance with the above information, we hereby correct the Notification as follows. The Modification constituting the subject matter of the Notification entered into force on 15 September 2006 and not on 13 September 2006. The information received today does not affect the other parts of the Notification so it remains correct in all other respects."
