Banco Santander S.A. (“the Bank") hereby informs that on 3rd February 2016 directors of the Bank notified the Bank that: 1) (i) on 29th January 2016 he purchased 10,790 shares of the Bank at 3.841 euro per share (these shares have been purchased in the Mexican Stock Market at a price of MXN 76.843 per share; the share price of EUR 3.841 has been calculated using the European Central Bank’s official exchange rate on 29th January 2016 (1 EUR – 20.005 MXN) and (ii) on 2nd February 2016 he purchased 989,210 shares of the Bank at 3.683 euro per share (these shares have been purchased in the Mexican Stock Market at a price of MXN 73.754 per share); the share price of EUR 3.683 has been calculated using the European Central Bank’s official exchange rate on 2nd February 2016 (1 EUR – 20.027 MXN). 2) on 3rd February 2016 her connected person purchased 100,000 shares of the Bank (i.e. 50,000 shares at 3.5 euro per share and 50,000 shares at 3.493 euro per share).
